My designer is Colin Lee. He did the Dulce & Gabana poster. I wanted to try to capture the same pencil sketchy quality, but instead of the leafy decoration on his letters I wanted to do roots and stems. I am including my sketches and the original source.
Heidi, I like where it's going. I like what you want to do with it. I would be interested in seeing it once you make those changes. I think it's a good start, looks hard to hand draw that whole font.
I love the roots and branches coming out of your letterforms. I like how there is one branch wrapping around the "P". It would be amazing if you could do that on some of the other ones. THe two "E"s look a little akward. Maybe you could connect them or make one fit inside the other. Overall I absolutely love it so far. Good job.
